Introduction
Rome is without doubt one of the most beautiful and intriguing cities in the world. A visit to Rome is an emotional journey to be lived in its entirety. Whether it’s your first time in Rome or you’re a repeat visitor, the Eternal City is definitely worth exploring with an expert and enthusiastic guide that will support you in getting to know its past, discover its legends and cherish its secrets.

Recommended Dress Code: Comfortable shoes, sun glasses and a hat. Please understand that some of the sites are holy and extremely cherished by Christians so respect is a must. Covered shoulders and knees are usually preferable when entering churches; Hats are not allowed inside churches.


Day one:
Welcome meeting at your Hotel:
Taking into account all variables such as delayed arrival of your plain, waiting for luggage in the airport baggage claim area, transfer from airport to your hotel, and hotel check in, unpack your luggage, as well as having a rest before starting your first day tour, We would suggest starting your first day tour we at around 16.30pm.

Evening and Night tour
Tour Highlights: Popolo square, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Hadrian Temple, Pantheon, Navona Square.
Duration: approximately 4 hours (including time for dinner)
Details: Rome is a city of wonderful contrasts, during the day one can feel the pulse of the city. But as the sun goes down, one gets a true understanding for the soul of the Eternal City. The city of Rome shines at night when the monuments are illuminated, and there is no better way to experience it than on a guided walking tour.

During your private tour we will also point out historic and contemporary design shops, elegant boutiques, characteristic cafes, mouth-watering Italian “gelaterie” (ice cream shops) and delicious restaurants specialised in traditional Roman food and wine.

Day Two:
Morning: Ancient Rome Tour “Boarium Forum and the Mouth of Truth”
Tour Highlights: Campo Marzio; Jewish Ghetto; Tiber Island; Boarium Forum
Starting time: 9.30am or 10.00am depending on your preference and needs
Duration: comprehensive 3 to 4 hour tour
Details: In Rome’s regal period (753-509 BC), the area across the river Tiber belonged to the hostile Etruscans. Rome conquered it to gain control to the river from both banks. Having full control of the river and the access to the Tyrrhenian Sea provided the Romans with a chance to conquer the Mediterranean and to expand their borders. The Boarium Forum (Rome oldest market place), the Port Tibernius and the Tiber Island experienced intense commercial activity thanks to their prime location. Bridges were built to connect the banks of the Boarium to the one of Trastevere transforming the all area into a busy multicultural district that housed Syrian, Egyptian and Jewish communities since 168BC.

“Are you ready to test your truth telling by sticking your hand into the Mouth of Truth? If you haven’t told any lies, everything will be fine…otherwise, the Mouth will know it and chop off your hand! But don’t worry this is only the threat of ancient Romans. He probably won’t like the taste for your hand anyway”.

The tour will end just before lunch break. We suggest you might have some lunch in the Jewish Ghetto before starting your afternoon tour.


Afternoon: Imperial Rome and Coliseum Tour
Tour Highlights: Piazza Venezia; Victor Emanuel Monument; Capitoline Hill; Panoramic View; Explanation of the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum; Traiano Markets; Imperial Forum; Coliseum.
Duration: comprehensive 3 to 4 hour tour
Starting time: 2.00pm or 2.30pm depending on your preference and needs.
Details: The Roman Forum has been the cultural, political, religious and economic centre of the Roman Empire for nearly two thousand years. Here Roman Emperors and their armies marched by to celebrate their victories and triumphs. Capable of seating 50,000 spectators, the Coliseum was used for gladiatorial contests, mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, and dramas based on classical mythology.

Evening: free time for shopping, dining and relaxing at your leisure. We suggest you might like to have dinner in the Monti district.


Day three:
Morning City Tour
Tour Highlights: Campo dei Fiori market place; Navona square; S. Agostino Church and Caravaggio’s Madonna dei Pellegrini; S. Angelo castle & bridge, (view of S. Peter Basilica).
Duration: comprehensive 3 to 4 hour tour
Starting time: 9.30am or 10.00am depending on your preference and needs
Details: This comprehensive morning tour is the ideal introduction to Rome's famous sights and day-time ambiance, and the ideal pre-lunch activity. Perfect for first-time visitors, and those who cannot spend more than a few days in the Eternal city.

The tour will end just before lunch break. We suggest you might have some pizza on the go, or a panini and salad before starting your afternoon tour.


Afternoon Vatican Tour
Tour Highlights: Vatican Museum; Sistine Chapel; St Peter Square & Basilica
Duration: comprehensive 3 to 4 hour tour
Starting time: 2.00pm or 2.30pm depending on your preference and needs.
Details: The Vatican is the world's smallest sovereign state, the high seat of Catholicism for more than sixteen centuries and the residence of the Pope. The Vatican is also home to the famous Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. Here is preserved some of the most sublime creations of man, inspired by his eternal yearning to give expression to the divine spirit.

The Vatican tour follows an itinerary which includes: the Pio Clementino Museum (classical antiquity), the Gallery of the Candelabras, the Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Geographical Maps (Renaissance Art), the Raphael Rooms, the Sistine Chapel, St Peter Basilica and St Peter Square.

Evening: free time for shopping, dining and relaxing at your leisure. We suggest you might like to have dinner in Trastevere.


Day four
Morning: Free time for shopping and relaxing at your leisure.
Should you have enough time we suggest you might like to go on the Archeobus tourist open bus, which goes along the Park of Via Appia Antica. It runs daily, holidays included, with departures every 30 minutes from 8.30am to 4.30pm with terminus in Piazza dei Cinquecento (Termini Railway Station).

The journey lasts about 1 hr and 30 minutes. The route is managed with single deck open buses equipped with sono-system in 8 languages (Italian, French, English, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese) and with disable people position. Tickets have daily validity and Stop and Go formula that allows you to hop on/off at any of the stops all day long.
